I keep threatening to retire from international retreats, but then I get proposals from amazing destinations like this and I just can’t resist! I have never been to El Salvador before and this luxurious, yet intentional, 5-star resort right on the coast got my attention! So….yoga in El Salvador, anyone???

This resort {or should I say “anti resort”} boasts beachfront property that includes a beautiful yoga shala, 2 pools, restaurant, bar, daily housekeeping, beach cabanas, and all sorts of different lodging options — making it accessible for almost any budget! They also claim to have “the best wi-fi in El Salvador”, so if you need to make this a working vacation, you would be able to swing it! The flights seem reasonable as well.

Are you starting to consider it??? Don’t stop now, keep imagining! YOU, in your Beachfront Bungalow, lying in your hammock, reading your favorite book, listening to the waves crash… a nourishing dinner is being prepared fresh, and afterwards a relaxing Soundbath with the group. Doesn’t it sound lovely?!

Lastly I will just state that there is nothing I enjoy more at the beginning of January than taking a beach vacation. When the inversion is thick in SLC and the holidays are finally over, I love to take some time to refuel my SOUL in the SUNSHINE!!! And I’m super excited to relax in this beautiful environment. I’m looking forward to morning meditations on the beach and flowing through a yoga practice to the sound of the ocean waves. Accommodations

Nestled in a hardwood rain forest with cascading cliffs, Mizata offers an assortment of lodging options. From cozy, shared suites to luxe oceanfront bungalows and mind-bending treehouses, you will find your perfect space to recharge. All rooms have excellent Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and ensuite bathrooms. Your retreat tuition will vary based on the room you choose. Tuition is anywhere between $1100 — $3800 depending on your accommodation choice. Please look closely at all the different options below and contact me if you have any questions.

Beachfront Treehouse

TWELVE FEET ABOVE THE BEACH: Climb up a wooden staircase to reach the inside of your sanctuary. Set twelve feet above sea level on volcanic beach ground, the Tree Houses will make you feel like you’re floating through space and time.

INFINITE OCEAN VIEWS: Witness the sun rising and setting right in front of you in a Beachfront Tree House! The Tree House’s King Beds and infinity porch are overlooking the stunning Pacific. If you spend some time soaking in the views, you’ll see dolphins and whales play out front.

Retreat Dorm

The Retreat Dorms are newly designed with premium finishes and amenities for total comfort and enjoyment during your stay. All finishes were designed and hand made onsite by local craftsmen. The fabricated metal bunks provide a 7 foot privacy pod with curtain systems. Each bunk has a built in reading light, charging port and locking closet. The room has air conditioning, WI-FI, surfboard racks, dining table, couch, restroom and shower.

Between 4 - 6 people in a room, great budget option for solo travelers

Beachfront Bungalow

The Beachfront Bungalow has spectacular ocean views, with a luxurious king size bed and two stunning day beds that create the perfect space for a couples retreat, family vacay or group trip with friends. There is a patio with hammocks to lounge in and enjoy the sound of the ocean. The room has all the amenities, to ensure your comfort. All the furniture was designed and handcrafted on-site, creating a indescribable grounding energy.

Jungle Bungalow

Set right between the cascading cliff and the volcanic sand beach, our Jungle Bungalows are the perfect base for your couple’s or friends trip. The large king size bed has a premium mattress and a variety of pillows for your comfort. It also has built in reading lights, charging ports and a shelve for keep sakes. The room has all the amenities, to ensure your comfort. There is a fully stocked mini-fridge, closet with rolling shelves, polished concrete desk, raw edge coffee table and bamboo surf rack. All the furniture was designed and handcrafted on-site, creating a indescribable grounding energy.

$500 Deposit (per person) is required at the time of registration. The rest must be paid in full by November 1, 2024.

I am happy to take payment in increments as long as the full amount is paid by November 1, 2024. Payment by debit or credit will incur a 3.5% processing fee. Credit/debit cards may be taken over the phone upon request.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Plan to arrive on Sunday January 5th. The closest airport is San Salvador (SAL). If you would like help arranging a shuttle from the airport to the retreat center, just let ,me know. Check in time is 4pm. This day will be a day to arrive and settle in. If you need to arrive earlier than 4pm you are welcome to store your luggage with the front desk and enjoy the retreat grounds. No activities or yoga classes will be held on this day but dinner will be served and an opening circle afterwards.

Plan on departing on Saturday January 11th. We will have a morning meditation and breakfast on this morning, but those are the only activities. No morning yoga as most people are usually busy packing or departing. Lunch is available if you are still at the resort when it is served. Check out time is 1pm.

PASSPORT

All participants must have a valid passport. Your passport must have at least 2 blank pages and be valid for at least 6 months after your departure date. No Visa is required for Americans coming for tourism and staying less than 30 days.

Travel Insurance is strongly encouraged.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Full refunds will be given up until August 1, 2024. Cancellations after this date will forfeit the $500 deposit but will refunded the rest. No refunds will be given after November 1, 2024. No exceptions.

ADULTS ONLY

This is intended to be an adults only retreat. Please no children under the age of 18.
